Major General Nguyen Anh Tuan, Political Commissar of the Vietnam Border Guard Command chaired the event, which also saw the presence of Lieutenant General Le Duc Thai, Commander of the Vietnam Border Guard Command.

Reportedly, over the past time, the Party Committee and Chain-of-command of the Vietnam Border Guard Command have seriously and effectively directed and deployed all requirements regulated by the resolution. As a result, training quality in the force has been promoted considerably.

The Vietnam Border Guard Command has also successfully conducted training plans in combination with safeguarding the national sovereignty over shared borderline, strengthening regularity and discipline observance, and building comprehensive strong units at all levels.

At the event

Also at the event, delegates discussed measures to further carry out the resolution in reality, focusing on upholding the leadership of each unit’s Party organization and chain-of-command, mastering staffed and to-be-equipped weapons and equipment, mobilizing resources for training missions, closely working with relevant forces and local authorities in localities where they are stationed, and regularly cooperating and exchanging with neighboring countries’ border protection forces.
