Artillery brigade asked to promote training and combat readiness quality
PANO – A mission of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA), led by its Deputy Chief Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong, inspected Brigade 490 of the Artillery Corps on August 13.
Since the beginning of 2019, the Party Committees and chains-of-command of the brigade and its affiliated units have embraced higher levels’ resolutions and instructions while scientifically building and comprehensively conducting plans to fulfill their assigned tasks.

They have seriously maintained working regulations, regularly perfected documents on combat readiness, fire prevention and fighting, and natural disaster mitigation and search and rescue mission, and paid due attention to regularity building and discipline observation.
Concluding the meeting, General Cuong requested the brigade’s leadership to increase check and inspection of their subordinate units and give clear directions and concrete tasks to their lower-level officers, particularly those in leading positions while continuously improving training and combat readiness quality.
The general assigned functional agencies to sum up the brigade’s proposals to submit them to the leadership of the VPA’s General Staff and Defense Ministry for solutions.
