The attendants at the conference agreed that in 2022 the Party Committee will focus on giving advice to the municipal Party Committee and People’s Committee to promote the combined power in building the whole people’s defense posture, firm security posture, and defensive areas. The capital’s armed forces will actively follow situational developments to deal with problems in a timely manner, ensure absolute safety for political events, and build a politically-, ideologically-, morally-, and organizationally-strong Party Committee to lead agencies and units to fulfill assigned missions in 2022.

Concluding the conference, Secretary of the Hanoi Capital Command’s Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung asked the party committee to raise the quality of its advice on the implementation of military and defense missions to the municipal Party Committee and People’s Committee. He urged the Party committees and chains-of-command of the command’s affiliated units and agencies to lead and direct the implementation of combat readiness mission, cooperate with other forces to ensure security for important political events, and mobilize forces for pandemic prevention and control.

The same day, the Party Committee of Army Corps 2 issued its leadership resolution. Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, Deputy Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs, attended the event.

Speaking at the conference, Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet highly appreciated the army corps’ efforts in 2021 and asked the unit to raise the quality of training; study and implement resolutions of the Central Military Commission; prepare for unexpected missions, including disease prevention and disaster response; foster cooperation with local people. 

In 2021, under the leadership of the party committees of Army Corps 2 and its affiliated units, the whole corps has comprehensively accomplished assigned missions. In particular, agencies and units under the corps have obtained significant achievements in combat readiness, training, exercises, pandemic prevention and control, and Party and political work.

A similar event was also held by the Party Committee of the Vietnam-Russia Tropical Center in the presence of Deputy Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Binh.

In 2021, the Party Committee has led the center to conduct researches and scientific missions and carry out the COVID-19 prevention and control. Next year, the Party Committee will focus its leadership on the implementation of science and technology tasks assigned by higher levels.

On December 28, Military Region 7 held an online conference to review its political and military missions in 2021 and roll out tasks for 2022. This year, the military region has cooperated with localities to mobilize more than VND 2,610 billion for the mission of building the whole people’s defense posture and defensive areas.

In addition, the military region’s armed forces have deployed more than 82,000 troops to assist localities in preventing and controlling the pandemic, formed over 600 mobile medical teams and 24,000 checkpoints, and mobilized VND 821 billion to support local people in need.

At the conference, delegates proposed measures to effectively carry out missions in 2022. The military region will focus on implementing the Party’s resolutions and directives, raise the leadership capability of the Party committees at all levels, regularly follow and predict the situations to deal with circumstances in an effective manner, strengthen pandemic prevention and control effort, and cooperate with other forces to ensure local political security and public orders.

The same day, Army Corps 18 of the Ministry of National Defense reviewed its task implementation in 2021 and rolled out missions for 2022.

Reports revealed that in 2021 the unit has successfully conducted more than 220 training flights and 14 military and medical emergency flights and been ready to undertake search and rescue missions, natural disaster response, and other unexpected tasks.

Next year, the army corps will continue maintaining combat readiness, carrying out regular and unexpected missions, managing flight operations, conducting training, and promoting production and business activities in line with law.
