Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff and head of the standing board of the Steering Committee on Reviewing the Implementation of Resolution 791, attended the event.
Over the past years, the Party committees and chains-of-command of the service have embraced and implemented the resolution, concretized it in their leadership resolutions, and directed the implementation in a serious and effective manner. They have regularly disseminated information, educated troops and realized the Party’s viewpoints and goals in science and technology development to serve the national industrialization and modernization cause in the context of a socialist-oriented market economy and international integration in political education. They have also raised awareness of cadres, party members and the public of the resolution implementation.
Attentively, almost all the service’s scientific and technological products have been applied to reality, meeting the service’s requirements of technical assurance, training, combat readiness. Notably, some products could replace foreign products of the same type.
Together with close coordination in the implementation of scientific and technological activities from the service to the grassroots level, the service has also paid due attention to fostering managers in science and technology, improving their professional expertise and boosting their active and effective engagement in overcoming natural and environmental disasters.
Addressing the event, General Tan applauded the service for its achievements in realizing the resolution and asked the service’s Party Committee and Chain-of-Command to enhance their leadership and direction over the service’s affiliates to produce more valuable products, especially breakthrough and applicable ones that meet requirements in the new situation.
The deputy chief of the General Staff urged the service to focus on absorbing the achievements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, enhancing international cooperation and partnership with domestic units, corporations and businesses to improve their capacity, gradually master manufacturing technology, improve and modernize materiel, and ensure good technical conditions of weapons and equipment, especially high-tech ones assigned for the Service.
The Party Committee of the ADAF Service was asked to pay attention to leading the improvement of the military art and science research work and effective participation in environmental protection.
