The request was made by Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Gau, member of the Party Central Committee cum Deputy Director of the General Department of Political Affairs of the Vietnam People’s Army, at a conference held by the service’s Party Committee on July 7 to issue the leadership resolution on task performance in the second half of 2023.

Apart from the above-mentioned missions, the service was also requested to pay attention to building a strong people’s air defense and air force and a strong people’s air defense posture; furthering the education and information dissemination work to raise troops’ awareness of their duties, hostile forces’ plots and schemes; building troops with firm political stance, ready to undertake and complete all assignments.

In addition, the service should take more care of pilots, troops working in remote areas and on islands, newly-founded forces, well observe grassroots democracy regulations and ensure internal security.  

Along with directing the completion of programs and plans as scheduled, the Party Committee needs to direct innovation in training contents and methods; improvement in mastering currently and future-equipped weapons and technical equipment; flight training and assurance of flight safety; building of healthy, strong, competent party committees and party cells and a contingent of cadres and party members with good virtues and expertise.

At the event, Lt. Gen. Nguyen Van Gau applauded and highly appreciated the all-out efforts of the service’s Party Committee and Chain-of-Command in leading the effective implementation of tasks for the first six months of the year.

A report delivered at the conference confirmed that, in the first half, under the leadership of the service’s Party Committee, the missions of combat readiness, sky and flight management were carried out seriously; quality of training for air defense, air force troops, new recruits was maintained; financial, logistics and technical services for tasks were ensured in a timely manner; and production and business activities were done legally. Notably, the service’s Party Organization was politically-, ideologically-, ethically-, and organizationally-strong while its troops were firm in stance, and stayed ready to undertake and complete all assigned missions.
