Vietnamese young officers visit Nan Xishan Hospital
PANO - The delegation of young officers from the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA), led by Deputy Head of the Military Youth Advisory Board Senior Colonel Tran Huu Dung, visited Nan Xishan Hospital in Guilin city, Guangxi province on June 16.
It was part of the ongoing Vietnam-China Young Officer Exchange 2024 in China.

Secretary of the Party Committee of the hospital Liu Honglin briefed the Vietnamese guests upon the hospital’s establishment and development, especially its support and treatment for Vietnamese wounded and sick soldiers during hard times in the struggle for national salvation of Vietnam.
On behalf of the Vietnamese delegation, Colonel Dung thanked the host for their warm reception. He emphasized that from 1969 to 1975, Nan Xishan Hospital gave treatment to more than 5,000 wounded and sick soldiers of Vietnam. The hospital, together with the Chinese people, reinforced the Vietnamese people’s resistance war against U.S. imperialists, and their struggle for national salvation.

Considering Nan Xishan Hospital one of the symbols of the Vietnam-China friendship, the Vietnamese young officers said that they would always treasure, bear in mind and be grateful to the hospital’s precious support in the past. They were determined to continue building, cultivating, and developing the friendship between the two countries by specific and substantive activities in the coming time.
Earlier the same day, the Vietnamese delegation toured the Li Jiang River, one of the famous landscapes of Guilin city.
