Vietnamese military snipers perform well at Army Games 2019
PANO - On the second day of the “Sniper Frontier” contest at the ongoing Army Games 2019, the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA)’s snipers performed the third, fourth and fifth shooting tests of the first round in line with the contest’s regulations.
In the third test, snipers shot in an unfavorable position. Each sniper fired two shots in one minute at two targets No.7 from distances ranging from 200m to 500m.
In the fourth test, snipers were required to fire six rounds at targets No.7, 8 and 10 from distances ranging from 300m to 800m in the shortest time. Because the sight of the targets was not clear, snipers found the task tough.
Meanwhile, from a pyramid-shaped shooting platform, snipers had to fire five rounds at five targets in the shortest time and in different shooting positions. Targets were placed at different distances ranging from 150m to 500m.
All four Vietnamese snipers completed the fifth test, shooting at 19 out of 20 targets of the test, ranking first.
As of 2200 hours on August 5 (Hanoi time), the Vietnamese military sniper contingent finished five out of seven tests of the first round of the contest, temporarily taking the mid-place on the table.
