The Vietnamese contingent was warmly welcomed at the airport and then taken to the 38th Guards Air Assault Brigade under the Armed Forces of Belarus in the outskirts of Brest city, about 380km from Minsk.

Meanwhile, teams from Russia, China, Mongolia, Bangladesh, and Myanmar were already present in Brest.

Reportedly, 23 teams will compete in the contest “Sniper frontier.” The remainders will gather at the designated place within the next two days.

The participating teams will be accommodated in field canvas tents, then complete all procedures, tour the contest area, and receive weapons and equipment.

Each sniper will be equipped with several firearms, including Dragunov SVD sniper rifle with daytime sight PSO-1 M2 and night sight (pre-sight cap), and a Makarov PM pistol. Each team will be staffed with two Kalashnikov assault rifles and they will have one day to learn about the technical features of the rifles and sights before joining training sessions.

Right after coming to Brest, the Vietnamese Sniper Team started to work out training plans for the competition.

PANO would like to introduce several photos of the Vietnamese Sniper Team on their first day in Belarus:
