The nine-month long course equipped officers of the Lao People’s Army with Vietnamese reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills and military terms.

Apart from class time, the Lao trainees visited historical relic sites and famous destinations in Son La, such as Son La Prison Historical Relic, Tay Bac Square, Vietnam-Laos Revolutionary Historical Relic Site, and the historical memorial site for Tay Tien Regiment 52, among others.
All trainees passed Vietnamese language proficiency assessment test and were awarded certificates of graduation.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee Trang Thi Xuan praised and highly appreciated the efforts of departments, agencies, and sectors, especially the provincial military command and Son La College, in building the training program and ensuring facilities for the class.
At the event, the provincial People’s Committee presented certificates of merit to 12 collectives and 12 individuals with outstanding achievements in strengthening the special friendship between Son La and nine provinces of Laos. The province also honored three other collectives and four individuals with achievements in equipping Vietnamese language skills to officers of the armed forces of nine provinces of Laos.

In addition, 32 individuals with outstanding achievements in management, teaching, and learning were honored by the Son La provincial Military Command.
