The event was attended by Commanding Officer of the Ha Tinh provincial Military Command Senior Colonel Nguyen Xuan Thang and representatives of the provincial public security force, Border Guard Command, and Department of Foreign Affairs.
During the one-month long course, 20 Lao officers were provided with general knowledge about territory and national border; agreement on regulations on land border and border gate management between the two governments; traditional friendship between Vietnam and Laos and between Ha Tinh and Bolikhamsai provinces. They also learnt about the plots of “peaceful evolution” of hostile forces in the new period.
After the course, all trainees met set requirements.
Speaking at the event, Senior Colonel Nguyen Xuan Thang expected that the Lao trainees will flexibly apply the acquired knowledge to their work to complete all assigned missions.
The commanding officer of the provincial military command also hoped that the Lao officers will effectively carry out coordination agreements signed by the Ha Tinh provincial Military Command and the Bolikhamsai provincial Military Command, contributing to building strong armed forces.
