Vietnamese frigate 016-Quang Trung ready to perform defense external mission
PANO - On November 7, Naval Senior Captain Do Minh, Second-in-command Officer of Naval Region 4, chaired a meeting to grasp information about the upcoming exercise themed “Peace and friendship 2023” in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province, China, as well as the visit of Vietnamese frigate 016-Quang Trung of Brigade 162, Naval Region 4, to Hong Kong, China.
Right after receiving the order of the Naval Service, Naval Region 4 and Brigade 162 quickly made thorough preparations for the working visit of Frigate 016-Quang Trung and the naval delegation to China.

Deputy Chief of Staff of Naval Region 4 Senior Captain Nguyen Van Ngan briefed the delegates on the preparations in all fields of the frigate and the naval troops, and their readiness to perform assigned tasks.

Addressing the event, Naval Senior Captain Do Minh requested all participating forces to raise determination and be well aware of the importance of the working visit, fulfill assigned tasks as regulated with absolute safety, while reporting all arising issues during their task implementation.
Especially, they should try their best to introduce the images of Vietnamese naval troops to international friends, thereby affirming their ability, together with naval forces from other countries, to address maritime security issues, and to improve the international integration capacity of the Vietnam People’s Navy. He also asked the delegation to adhere to all regulations on military secret, and ensure logistics supplies and technical services during the voyage.

As scheduled, Frigate 016-Quang Trung and the Vietnamese naval delegation will depart for China from Cam Ranh Military Port on November 8 to conduct the defense external mission.

The visit aims to realize the directions of the Central Military Commission and defense leaders on international integration and defense external affairs, contributing to enhancing and promoting the solidarity and cooperation between the two militaries and navies of Vietnam and China in particular, and participating countries in general, for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
