Vietnamese Ambassador to India visits Frigate 016-Quang Trung on MILAN 2022 sidelines
PANO - A delegation of the Vietnamese Embassy in India, led by Ambassador Pham Sanh Chau, visited Vietnam’s frigate 016-Quang Trung on February 27 on the sidelines of the multilateral naval exercise MILAN 2022 in Visakhapatnam city, India.

The delegation was joined by Senior Colonel Pham The Hung, Vietnamese defense attaché to India.
Welcoming the delegates, Senior Captain Nguyen Van Ngan, Deputy Chief of Staff of Naval Region 4 and head of the Vietnam People’s Navy delegation to MILAN 2022, shared his honor of receiving the Ambassador to the frigate.
After touring the frigate and being briefed on the crewmembers’ task performance, Ambassador Chau expressed his pride in the development of the Vietnam People’s Navy, affirming that the Vietnamese naval troops have proved their capabilities in mastering modern weapons by controlling the frigate to cross 2,300 nautical miles to attend the multilateral naval exercise.
He noted that the participation of Frigate 016-Quang Trung in MILAN 2022 contributed to not only improving the country’s image in the international arena but also strengthening the effectiveness of Vietnam’s comprehensive diplomacy.
The Vietnamese diplomat also stated that it is a meaningful activity among a series of events in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-India diplomatic ties.
He congratulated achievements of the Vietnamese frigate at the International Army Games 2021 and wished them to gain more remarkable results in the future competitions.

He wished the Vietnam People’s Navy delegation to fulfill their assigned tasks at the multilateral naval exercise MILAN 2022 and leave good impressions of the Vietnamese culture and people on international friends and Indian people.
