During the patrol, the two sides conducted parallel patrols, closely monitored the border area, coordinated to prevent and combat cross-border crime, promptly addressed violations, and disseminated legal information to border residents.
The joint patrol helped strengthen information sharing, improve situational awareness, and enhance coordination in handling border-related issues in accordance with the legal documents governing the Vietnam-China land border and bilateral agreements. The activity contributed to maintaining a border of peace, friendship, stability, cooperation and development.

Following the patrol, representatives of both sides held talks to review the results of cooperation and agreed to maintain information exchange, joint patrols and coordinated law enforcement to safeguard territorial sovereignty and ensure security and order in border areas.
* Also on July 10, Lung Cu Border Post under the Tuyen Quang Provincial Border Guard Command and Donggan Border Police Station of Malin Sub-station, China conducted their second-quarter 2026 joint patrol between border markers No.409 and No.410/2.
During the patrol, the two sides inspected their assigned border section, exchanged information on the local security situation, and discussed measures to improve border management, protection and law enforcement.

They also agreed on priorities for the third quarter of 2026, including preventing illegal border crossings and cross-border smuggling, enhancing legal awareness among border residents, and strengthening coordination and information sharing in handling border-related incidents.
The joint patrol reaffirmed the two sides' commitment to combating violations, maintaining peace and stability, preserving the border markers, and building a Vietnam-China border of peace, friendship, cooperation and development.
