Vietnamese and Singaporean hospitals reinforce cooperation
PANO - A visiting delegation from Singapore General Hospital (SGH) of Sing Health Group visited and exchanged experience on developing traumato-orthopedics with Military Hospital 175 of the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam on July 10.
At the meeting, Major General Nguyen Hong Son, Director of Military Hospital 175, briefed the delegation on the progress of the host’s building of a traumato-orthpedics institute.
Gen. Son wished to bolster cooperation with international partners, including Singaporean health experts, on expertise improvement and personnel training. He also hoped to establish an intensive cooperation program with the Singaporean partner in the coming time.
The Vietnamese general unveiled a plan to invite more international managers to visit and work with the hospital to learn more about their management experience.
For their part, the Singaporean delegation highly valued the host’s medical equipment, personnel’s professionalism and wished to hold personnel exchanges to boost their long-term cooperation. In the next two years, the two sides will jointly organize seminars on traumato-orthopedics and other fields.
The guest also informed that many training programs for nurses opened by the SGH are helpful for Military Hospital 175.
During their two-day visit at Military Hospital 175, the Singaporean delegation is going to examine, give consultation on difficult medical cases on spine, sport and exercise medicine. They will discuss new knowledge on diagnosis, traumato-orthopedics, the role of physical therapy and rehabilitation. Especially, the delegation will also conduct operations on patients at the hospital and exchanged experiences with the hospital’s staff.
