In particular, at A Dot - Tavang Border Gate, around 100 youths from the Border Post of A Dot Border Gate, Defense-Economic Mission 92 of Military Region 4, and Huong Phong and Lam Dot communes of A Luoi district, Thua Thien Hue province participated in activities. The campaign also saw the participation of troops from Tavang Public Security Post under Border Defense Company 531 of the Sekong provincial Border Guard Command of Laos.

During the campaign, participating units held a flag-saluting ceremony at border marker 666; fostered dissemination to help youths be fully aware of the significance of the borderline, border markers, national sovereignty, and border security; cleaned up areas at border marker 666 and A Dot - Tavang Border Gate; cleared bushes along the path connecting the Border Post of A Dot Border Gate and Tavang Public Security Post; and built a youth guard tower for Tavang Public Security Post.

These practical and significant activities aimed to educate youths of the two countries about the special solidarity of the two militaries and countries, thus encouraging them to promote vanguard and voluntary spirit to contribute to the border guard force’s efforts in managing and protecting national sovereignty and border security in the new period, and building a borderline of peace, friendship, cooperation, and development.
