PANO - On June 17, in Phu Quoc City, Kien Giang Province, the People's Committee of An Thoi Ward organized the launching ceremony to respond to the Youth Volunteer Campaign in Summer 2023. The program was attended by hundreds of officers and soldiers from Naval Region 5.

The Youth Volunteer Campaign in Summer 2023 takes place from June 12 to August 11. The program focuses on activities aimed at building civilized urban areas, improving social welfare, and providing child care, while also raising awareness of the national sea and islands and gathering young people.

Immediately after the launch ceremony, youth members from various units began to remove and erase unauthorized advertisements, flyers, and inappropriate information that affected the view along the roads. Simultaneously, they organized comprehensive environmental cleaning, cleared bushes, cleaned drainage canals, maintained clean roads, and collected and sorted waste for proper disposal.

This activity holds significant practical meaning and contributes to strengthening unity and cohesion among various forces. It enhances awareness, responsibility, and the spirit of volunteerism among young people in their participation in protecting the homeland, promoting socio-economic development, and building new-style rural areas.
