The event was part of the practical activities to mark 75 years since President Ho Chi Minh issued an appeal for patriotic emulation (June 11, 1948 - 2023). It was to promote military youths’ vanguard role in developing socio-economy, building new-style rural areas, and carrying out gratitude activities in mountainous and remote areas as well as to create an opportunity for them to make contribution to the military and nation.

At the launching ceremony, the organizing panel handed over 100 gifts, worth VND 1 million each, to 70 policy beneficiaries and 30 needy students with good academic results, two houses to young cadres of Military Region 1’s armed forces, and 20 electric fans (worth VND 500,000 each) to locals. The organizers also inaugurated playgrounds and sanitation projects at Van Tung Primary School; provided free health check-ups, consultation, and medicines to policy beneficiaries; presented helmets to youths facing difficulties. The total value of gifts was more than VND 500 million.

With a wide range of activities, the program contributed to spreading the hearts and noble deeds of youths inside and outside the military and noble qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers. Youths of Military Region 1 and Bac Kan province have promoted their vanguard, creative, and voluntary spirit to contribute to the Vietnamese youths’ efforts in building new-style rural areas, maintaining political stability and social order and safety, and effectively implementing military and defense work in the locality.
