The ceremony was attended by Senior Colonel Nguyen Xuan Dinh, Rector of the Military Engineering College; Senior Colonel Pham Tien Chuc, Political Commissar of the college; Major Nguyen Van Linh, Political Commissar of the Engineering Company Rotation 5; Major Ngo Xuan Tung, Deputy Commanding Officer of the Engineering Company Rotation 5, along with numerous officers and soldiers from the Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations.

At the K9 - Da Chong, a historical site where President Ho Chi Minh once worked and directed the revolution, and where his body was preserved during the wartime, the delegation respectfully offered flowers and incense to express their deep gratitude for his immense contributions.

In a solemn atmosphere, a representative of Engineering Company Rotation 5 reported to Uncle Ho on their training results, technical equipment preparations, and readiness to undertake and excellently fulfill tasks at the U.N. peacekeeping mission.

Upholding the glorious tradition of “Paving the way to victory” of the Engineering Corps, the “blue beret” troops are determined to overcome all difficulties and challenges to spread the image of peace-loving, professional, and humane Vietnamese military personnel to international friends.

This “return-to-the-roots” activity serves as a practical political and ideological education opportunity, helping to build the mettle, pride, and determination of officers and soldiers of the Engineering Company Rotation 5 before they set off for their international mission. Through this journey, they are more aware of the responsibilities of the military’s youths in the cause of national defense and peacekeeping.

Armed with President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and lifestyle, the unit is confident and determined to excellently complete its U.N. peacekeeping mission, practically contributing to embellishing the glorious traditions of the Vietnam People’s Army.
