Vietnam - Indonesia defense ties reap important outcomes
PANO - Despite the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and international situations, over the past time, the defense cooperation between Vietnam and Indonesia has continued to achieve important results, stressed Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan.

The deputy chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army made the assessment at the banquet held by the Indonesian Embassy in Hanoi in celebration of the 77th founding anniversary of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (October 5, 1945 - 2022) on the evening of October 24.
Addressing the event, the Vietnamese senior officer highly appreciated the Indonesian National Armed Forces’ contribution to Indonesia’s increased prestige, position and role and the maintenance of peace and stability in the region and the world.
Regarding the achievements in bilateral defense ties, General Tan stressed the delegation exchange, personnel training, and effective maintenance of the defense policy dialogue at the deputy-minister level.
The Vietnamese deputy chief of General Staff expressed his hope that with high political determination, good will and utmost efforts of the two sides, the Vietnam - Indonesia defense cooperation will develop more strongly in the coming time, practically contributing to regional and international peace and stability.
