Vietnam hands over Telemedicine system to Cambodian hospital
PANO – Military Hospital 175 of the General Department of Logistics of the Vietnam People’s Army on February 9 handed over a Telemedicine system, an operation room, a consultation room, and medical equipment, to the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces' Hospital 179.
Through teleconferencing, doctors of Hospital 175 will give technical assistance and share their valuable experiences to the Cambodian counterparts in diagnosing and treating patients, to raise the quality and efficiency of healthcare in the hospital and strengthen the relationship between the two hospitals.
Addressing the ceremony, Major General Nguyen Hong Son, Hospital 175’s Director, reaffirmed the close relations between the two hospitals, and said that the Vietnamese military hospital is willing to provide technical assistance to the Cambodia’s partner.
On the occasion, doctors from the Cambodian hospital used the equipment and software to diagnose a patient under the assistance of the Vietnamese colleagues.
A representative of Hospital 179 thanked Vietnam’s Ministry of National Defense and General Department of Logistics for giving both material and technical supports for it contributing to augmenting its healthcare quality.
