Military hospital connects to island through telemedicine system
PANO - Military Hospital 354 of the General Department of Logistics made a debut for a telemedicine system, connecting the hospital to the medical station on Sinh Ton Dong Island, on December 23 in Hanoi under chair of Major General Do Nang Tinh, Deputy Director of the General Department of Logistics.
Under the decision of the minister of national defense, the General Department Of Logistics in association with the Electronics Informatics Chemical Joint-Stock Company (ELINCO) and the Signal Arm set up a telemedicine system connecting the island's medical station to Military Hospital 354 through a VISAT station built on the island.
Despite the severe weather and numerous difficulties during the implementation, the project was completed as scheduled meeting the required technical standards.
Addressing the event, Major General Do Nang Tinh asked doctors and medical workers of Military Hospitals 354 and 105 to master technical requirements and ensure good maintenance of the system, so as to provide better healthcare for troops and islanders on the island in particular and in the whole Truong Sa archipelago in general.
