Reportedly, during the courses, Lao and Cambodian officers studied several subjects, such as regional and international situations affecting the defense-security sector in the first years of the 21st century, the policies of powers related to regional security, the prevention of non-traditional security threats, the impacts of globalization and international integration on military-defense affairs, and so on.

In addition, they made fact-finding trips to Vietnamese military units and localities, practiced building defensive plans for strategic areas in their countries and exchanged experience in construction and defense causes with their Vietnamese counterparts.

As a result, the Lao and Cambodian officers acquired knowledge for their missions of building the LPAF and the RCAF respectively, and at the same time learned more about the Vietnamese country, people and military.
