Maj. Gen. Nguyen Duy Minh presents certificates to officers of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces. |
According to General Minh, the current global and regional situations are evolving rapidly and complexly, requiring diplomats in general and defense diplomacy officers in particular, to constantly study and enhance their knowledge and capabilities in all aspects, especially in researching, analyzing, assessing, forecasting situations, and providing strategic recommendations to best serve national interests.
He further noted that globalization, peace, and cooperation have become prevailing global trends. As a result, the frequency of diplomatic activities is increasing, along with higher demands for professionalism and modernization in diplomatic work, particularly in defense diplomacy. Therefore, diplomats, especially those engaged in defense diplomacy, must continuously learn, improve, and refine their professional skills to meet the requirements of their duties.
The Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Relations also underscored that defense cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia has increasingly deepened, becoming more practical and effective, and remains one of the key pillars of bilateral relations. Contributing to this success, defense diplomacy has played an essential role as a vital bridge between the two militaries.
He expressed his hope that the officers of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces would creatively apply the knowledge and experience gained during their training in Vietnam to effectively fulfill their assigned responsibilities and tasks.
