Quang Tri and Savannakhet provincial Military Commands review coordination outcomes

Over the past time, the two sides have directed agencies and units to closely follow situation in the area and promptly coordinate to handle arising issues, contributing to maintaining political security and social order; directed Team 584 to survey, search, gather, and repatriate remains of nine Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and advisors who died in Savannakhet province. They coordinated to organize seminars and exchanges for young officers in 2023 and directed the Military Commands of Huong Hoa and Se Pon districts to well implement the twinning regulations.

In addition, the Military Command of Quang Tri province has sent a working delegation to assist units under the Military Command of Savannakhet province in maintaining and repairing military technical equipment.

At the meeting, the two sides signed the minutes to continue implementing coordination in the defense and security activities in 2024 associated with socio-economic development. In the coming time, they will regularly grasp situations; coordinate to patrol to manage border markers and the borderline; update each other on political security and social order-related issues, contributing to building a borderline of peace, friendship, cooperation, and development; continue the search and collection of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and advisers.
