The Philippine naval delegation is on a visit to Vietnam and the Vietnam People’s Navy from August 6 to 8.

After the welcome ceremony, commanders of the two navies exchanged cooperation contents of mutual concern. The host expressed delight at welcoming the Philippine delegation. He took the occasion to review the outstanding cooperation activities between the two countries, two militaries, and two navies over the past time. The cooperation between the two militaries in general and two navies in particular has been promoted through various contents, including young officer exchange, consultation at all levels, and sharing of experience in search and rescue at sea, contributing to strengthening the bilateral sustainable cooperation and friendship.

For his part, Vice Admiral Toribio Dulinayan Adaci Jr. thanked the Vietnamese Naval Commander for the warm reception and emphasized the Philippine side wishes to enhance cooperation with the Vietnamese Navy in areas of mutual concern.

The naval commanders of both countries agreed to implement various collaborative initiatives in the near future, such as search and rescue operations for fishermen at sea, exchanges, and naval consultations at various levels.

During their visit to Vietnam, the Philippine Navy delegation will pay a courtesy call on the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, visit Brigade 679 under Naval Region 1, and explore some tourist attractions in Hanoi, Haiphong, and Quang Ninh.
