In recent years, the cooperation between the Vietnam Coast Guard and the Philippine Coast Guard has been continuously developing. The year 2024 marks a significant milestone in the successful cooperation between the two forces, especially with the signing of the memorandum of understanding on maritime cooperation in January 2024. This memorandum is a key milestone that strengthens the relationship between the two sides, providing a common mechanism for sharing information and coordinating law enforcement at sea in accordance with international law, thereby contributing to maintaining and ensuring security and safety in the region.
