PANO – Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army on September 29th received a visiting delegation of reporters of the Lao People’s Army.

After briefing the guests on the VPA’s military press activities, general Nghia encouraged the two armies’ military press agencies to work together to cover big events of the two countries in general and the two armies in particular, including the 70th anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army and 25th anniversary of the Whole People’s Defence Day.

Besides, they should share experience in the fight against peaceful evolution and wrong thinking, promote their reporters’ expertise, and hold delegation exchanges, making contributions to promoting the traditional relations and the understanding and cooperation between military press agencies of the two countries.

Earlier, the delegation, led by Lieutenant Colonel Khamsao Keoviset, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Lao People’s Army Newspaper, had paid a visit to the Vietnamese People’s Army Newspaper (PAN).

Senior Colonel Pham Van Huan, PAN’s Editor-in-Chief, introduced main features of the newspaper, serving as an organ of the Military Central Commission and Ministry of National Defence as well as the Voice of the Armed Forces and People, and praised the two newspapers’ cooperation achievements in popularizing the special friendship between the two countries and the two armies.

For his part, Lieutenant Colonel Khamsao Keoviset thanked the PAN’s support to heighten the prestige of the Laos People’s Army Newspaper in the country.

The same day, the Lao military guests visited the Military Radio and Television Centre.
