MR 9 opens refresher course for Royal Cambodian Armed Forces officers

Attending and delivering speeches at the opening ceremony were Senior Colonel Chiem Thong Nhat, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of Military Region 9, and General Dieng Sarun, Deputy Chief of Joint Staff and Deputy Commander of the High Command of Guards of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces.

Over the three-month long refresher course, 100 trainees, who are officers from the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, will receive instruction in various specialized fields, including commando and general military contents.

An overview of the opening ceremony

During the opening ceremony, Senior Colonel Chiem Thong Nhat and General Dieng Sarun emphasized that military cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia holds great significance in bilateral cooperation. The course for Cambodian officers is a practical activity to preserve and enhance the traditions of unity, friendship, equality, and mutual respect between Vietnam and Cambodia in general, and between Military Region 9 of the Vietnam People's Army and the High Command of Guards of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces in particular.
