MR 5 delegation extends greetings to Cambodian people ahead of Chol Chnam Thmay
PANO - On the occasion of the upcoming Chol Chnam Thmay festival of the Khmer people, from March 28 to 30, a working delegation from Military Region 5 (MR5) led by Political Commissar Lieutenant General Trinh Dinh Thach, extended greetings to military units and localities of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
The delegation visited and extended greetings to the Rattanakiri Provincial Administration, Rattanakiri Provincial Military Sub-region; the Stung Treng Provincial Administration, Stung Treng Provincial Military Sub-region; the Mondulkiri Provincial Administration, Mondulkiri Provincial Military Sub-region; Brigade 128, the 1st Military Region Command, and the 4th Military Region Command under the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces.

They also visited the Martyrs' Remains Search and Collection Team under the Gia Lai Provincial Military Command (Team K52) and the Martyrs' Remains Search and Collection Team under the Dak Lak Provincial Military Command (Team K51), which are carrying out missions in the Cambodian localities. During the visits, on behalf of the working delegation, Lieutenant General Trinh Dinh Thach reviewed some prominent cooperative results between MR 5 and their Cambodian counterparts over the past time.

Lieutenant General Trinh Dinh Thach expressed his hope that in the time to come, both sides would continue to strengthen their cooperation in various fields such as defense external affairs, and border security. Especially, he emphasized the twinning activities at all levels from hamlet and commune levels, linked with economic development and national defense and security, contributing to building a relationship of "good neighbors, traditional friendship, comprehensive and sustainable cooperation" between Vietnam and Cambodia, and between MR 5 and Cambodian units and localities.
