According to Senior Colonel Hoang Huu Quy, Deputy Chief Justice of the Central Military Court, during the month-long training, the Lao military court staff will be provided with legal knowledge and experience related to the operations of Vietnamese military courts. This exchange aims to help them apply these insights appropriately to their own agencies and units. The Vietnamese side will also learn from the experience shared by the Lao trainees to enhance their theoretical and practical knowledge.

Major General Nguyen Thanh Phong, Deputy Director of the Central Military Procuracy, highlighted that this training course builds on the success of previous sessions and provides an opportunity for both sides to exchange and learn from each other's experience. During the one-month training, the Lao officers will be introduced to the legal issues currently applied by the Central Military Procuracy of Vietnam and practical experience and skills of procurators in various stages of military procuracy work. Major General Nguyen Thanh Phong expressed his hope that the Lao officers would share their experience to help both sides draw useful lessons that suit the development of their respective militaries and countries.

* Also on July 1, in Hanoi, the Office of the Ministry of National Defense held the opening ceremony of a training course on administrative and archival work for officers of the Lao Ministry of National Defense in 2024.

The course includes 20 officers and staff from the Lao Ministry of National Defense. During the month-long training in Vietnam, they will be provided with fundamental knowledge on administrative and archival work. Additionally, they will study digital archiving, sterilization and deacidification methods, and procedures for restoring and preserving paper documents. They will also learn about the administrative and archival practices at the Hanoi Capital Military Command, document collection and management at the Data Center of the Ministry of National Defense, and the digital transformation efforts at the Military Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel).
