At the Tangkas DCFF Center, the delegation was introduced to modern facilities and equipment used for training in sea survival, firefighting, and flood control. The center’s staffers demonstrated damage control drills at various complexity levels, realistically simulating combat conditions in harsh marine environments.

During the visit, the Vietnam People’s Navy delegation highly appreciated the professionalism and effective application of simulation technology by the Royal Malaysian Navy. They were considered valuable experiences for research and reference to improve the training quality and combat readiness of the Vietnam People’s Navy.

On the afternoon of the same day, officers and sailors of Ship 17 (Vietnam People’s Navy) and Ship 25 (Western Fleet, Royal Malaysian Navy) visited each other’s ships.

Both sides introduced the tactical and technical characteristics of their respective ships; shared procedures for the preservation and maintenance of weapons and technical equipment; and exchanged experience in mastering new, modern equipment as well as organizing long-voyage missions.
