Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Hien spoke highly of comrade Lu Yuqin’s working trip to Viet Nam on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the foundation day of the People’s Public Security Force (August 19, 1945 - 2026). He expressed his belief that the visit would be a success, contributing to strengthening mutual trust and understanding between the Chinese Ministry of Public Security and the Vietnamese Ministries of Public Security and National Defense, and relevant Vietnamese forces.

The Vietnamese defense leader affirmed that Viet Nam always considers developing friendly relations and cooperation with China an objective requirement, a strategic choice, and a top priority in its foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, diversification and multilateralization. He expressed his hope to continue preserving and promoting their traditional friendship and solidarity to new heights, thereby contributing to the implementation of the common perceptions reached by the top leaders of the two parties and countries, including the State visit to China by Party General Secretary and State President To Lam in April 2026.

He spoke highly of the cooperative relations between the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense and the Chinese Ministry of Public Security in general, and the close coordination between the Viet Nam Border Guard and the National Immigration Administration of China in particular, in border management and protection, immigration control, crime combat, and the maintenance of security and social order in border areas.
General Hien affirmed that the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense stands ready to work with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Public Security to continue implementing the “3+3” Strategic Dialogue mechanism at the ministerial level among the foreign affairs, defense, and public security ministries of Viet Nam and China, aiming to promote mutually beneficial cooperation of higher quality and deepen strategic coordination between the two countries.
Sharing this viewpoint, comrade Lu Yuqin highly valued the cooperation that has yielded significant achievements between China and Viet Nam in general, and between the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense and the Chinese Ministry of Public Security in particular. He noted that the “3+3” Strategic Dialogue mechanism has been successfully organized, marking a profound development and a new height in the bilateral relations.

The guest expressed his hope that the two countries would continue to coordinate in implementing agreed areas of cooperation between the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense and the Chinese Ministry of Public Security, especially cooperation in border management, combating smuggling, and preventing illegal entry, thereby contributing to making the bilateral cooperation increasingly effective and substantive in the coming time.
