The delegation was led by Colonel Sath Peou, Chief of the Office of the National Authority for Chemical Weapons.
The delegation was accompanied by Major General, Assoc. Prof., Dr. Nguyen Van Sau, Deputy Director of the Viet Nam Institute of Defense Strategy and History, and Senior Colonel Le Anh Tuan, Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 1.
During the program, the delegates offered incense and flowers in memory of President Ho Chi Minh at his memorial house atop De Pass, and paid floral tribute to General Vo Nguyen Giap at his memorial house on Pu Don hill. Subsequently, they visited the Tin Keo hut historical relic site, where President Ho Chi Minh lived and worked during the resistance war against the French colonialists.
This field trip was a practical component of the training course, providing Cambodian officers with firsthand insight into Viet Nam’s revolutionary history and military art. It also served as an opportunity for both sides to exchange experience in researching, collecting, preserving, and promoting military historical values.
