At the talks, leaders of both sides exchanged Tet greetings and reaffirmed that the Vietnam–China traditional friendship continues to be consolidated and developed. Reviewing cooperation in 2025, the two sides noted effective maintenance of dialogue mechanisms, joint patrols, and information exchanges; close coordination in managing and safeguarding territorial sovereignty and border security; and active efforts to prevent and combat crime, illegal entry and exit, smuggling, and other law violations.

Looking ahead, both sides agreed to further strengthen coordination by strictly maintaining dialogue mechanisms and hotlines, promoting joint patrols, friendly exchanges, and twinning activities, thereby contributing to building a peaceful, stable, friendly, cooperative, and sustainably developed border.
