On Ship 551 of the Chinese naval force, representatives of the four mentioned countries’ naval forces shared their experience in giving first aid to wounded soldiers and directly practiced the medical models using equipment of the host country.

According to Lieutenant Commander Ngo Si Hoan, a physician of Frigate 016, the Chinese medical equipment is various and modern. There are many models – closely related to reality. Attentively, some medical models and equipment are similar to those of the Vietnam People’s Navy.

Speaking highly of the performance of the medical officers of Frigate 016 in wound dressing and artificial respiration, Lieutenant Li Xing, a Chinese liaison officer at the event for the Vietnam People’s Navy delegation, shared that despite using the host’s medical devices and equipment, the Vietnamese military doctors and physicians showed their good skills with quick, flexible, and accurate movements.

Lieutenant Commander Ngo Si Hoan said that these are basic techniques regularly trained in their units. Over the past time, Brigade 162 and Frigate 016 have paid much attention to medical training. Every year, the unit organizes medical training courses for its medical officers to raise their competence in giving first aid to wounded soldiers at sea. During operations at sea, Frigate 016 has conducted exercises to enhance troops’ skills in dealing with emergency situations. Therefore, the officers and soldiers of Frigate 016 could excellently fulfill the tasks of giving first aid and evacuating wounded soldiers in all circumstances, including in harsh weather conditions at sea.

The People’s Army Newspaper would like to introduce some photos of the event.
