During the meeting, both sides exchanged information and highly valued the coordination results in 2025. Highlights included the first-ever provincial-level bilateral patrol, effective cooperation in sovereignty protection, crime prevention, and support in professional training and materials to maintain border security.

Both sides agreed to continue enhancing information exchange, border management, and crime prevention, contributing to cultivating the special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos.

Colonel Khamhang Xaymungkhun praised Corps 15 for its support, including twinning eight Vietnamese-Lao households, providing free medical exams for 3,000 people, and donating goods worth over VND 550 million. The unit also maintained development projects in Attapeu province and the Muong Cham village cluster.

Major General Hoang Van Sy committed to continued cooperation in socio-economic tasks. Corps 15 proposed further agricultural training for Lao officers and requested facilitation for mass mobilization and medical activities in Muong Cham. On this occasion, Sy congratulated Xaymungkhun on his new appointment as Director of the Grassroots Building Department.
