The Vietnamese ship is captained by Commander Nguyen Duc Thien, Second-in-Command of Brigade 167, while the British vessel is captained by Commander Michael Proudman.

During the exercise, the two sides practiced mobilizing in formations, performed greeting procedures at sea, exchanged information, conducted international signal information and implemented the Code for Unplanned Encounters at Sea (CUES).

According to Commander Nguyen Duc Thien, the joint exercise contributed to creating favorable conditions for information sharing between the Vietnamese and U.K. naval ships and enhancing mutual understanding between the two navies.

On the occasion, Brigade 167 sent a delegation to the HMS Spey to discuss contents of the joint exercise and exchange experience on naval medicine.

Here are several photos of the exercise.
