PANO - The Indonesian Navy’s training ship KRI Bima Suci, captained by Commander Sugeng Hariyanto, docked at Saigon–Hiep Phuoc port in Ho Chi Minh City on May 10, beginning a four-day courtesy visit.
The delegation includes 345 officers, sailors and cadets.
The visit is expected to contribute to strengthening the Vietnam-Indonesia comprehensive strategic partnership, while enhancing cooperation between the two navies in maritime experience exchange, search and rescue, and peacekeeping operations. It also aims to promote cultural exchange, mutual understanding and friendship between people of both countries.
Right after the welcoming ceremony, crew-members and the ship’s band staged a marching parade and musical performance at Saigon-Hiep Phuoc port.
