During the gala night, military artists staged artistic performances spotlighting Vietnam-China long-standing friendship, sound neighborliness, traditions of the two militaries, and solidarity between the two coast guard forces.

Additionally, the Vietnamese and Chinese young coast guards sang military songs of the Vietnam People’s Army and the Chinese People's Liberation Army.

Artistic performances at the gala night

The gala night showed the close care of the two countries’ leaders in promoting coordination between the two coast guard forces, contributing to further accelerating the goal of building the waters of peace, stability, friendship, cooperation, and development, as well as fostering friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two parties, countries and militaries.

Speaking at the event, Major General Tran Van Xuan, Deputy Political Commissar and Director of the Political Department of the Vietnam Coast Guard Command, underlined that the exchange program with a series of meaningful activities achieved good outcomes.

The youthfulness, solidarity, friendship and creativity of young coast guard officers contributed to the success of the exchange program, turning the event into a festival of youth and friendship, a bridge of friendliness and offering valuable opportunities to young officers to exchange and share experience in task performance, Gen. Xuan added.

At the “Friendship” competition

Attentively, Vietnamese and Chinese young coast guard officers participated in the question-and-answer contest, themed “Friendship” and the eloquence competition, themed “Cooperation.” The games offered participants a chance to show their understanding of the two countries’ culture, history, coast guard forces, seas and oceans, and the role of youths in marine environment protection, among others.

During the games, 12 officers randomly drew lots and were divided into 3 teams namely "Reaching out to the sea," "Riding the waves" and "Arriving." Each team consisted of two Vietnamese and two Chinese officers.

Through exciting competitions, the three teams showed solidarity and collaboration, affirming their talent, skills and spirit, aspiration for dedication, and contributing to responding to common challenges at sea. The games left a good impression on the audience about the image of dynamic, creative and united young coast guard officers.

According to First Lieutenant Dang Huu Bao Phuc, Head of the “Arriving” team, all members of the teams actively discussed the topic of the eloquent competition, thereby improving their competence and teamwork skills, as well as tightening the friendship among young officers.

Concluding the gala night, representatives of the Vietnamese and Chinese young coast guard forces read letters to show their determination to cultivate solidarity and friendship between the two countries in general and two coast guard forces in particular, as well as joining hands to protect marine environment.

The gala night wrapped up the four-day exchange program, with the hope that young coast guard officers would carry out more activities to protect marine environment, contributing to raising awareness of the people of the two countries in marine environmental protection and boosting solidarity and friendship between the two countries.
