Sr. Lt. Gen. Trinh Van Quyet receives Vietnamese and Chinese young coast guard officers
PANO - On August 22 in Hanoi, Deputy Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP) Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet received the delegations of Vietnamese and Chinese young coast guard officers participating in the on-going 3rd Vietnam - China Young Coast Guard Officer Exchange in 2023.

At the meeting, Gen. Quyet affirmed that the cooperative relationship between the two militaries has witnessed breakthrough developments, contributing to consolidating and deepening the traditional friendship, solidarity, and the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and China.
Acknowledging the outcomes of cooperation between young coast guard officers of the two countries over the past time, the Vietnamese Deputy Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs affirmed that activities within the exchange program have brought positive results, helping strengthen and promote the cooperation between coast guard forces and militaries of the two countries. He highly appreciated exchange activities within the 3rd Vietnam - China Young Coast Guard Officer Exchange in 2023.

Gen. Quyet believed that two militaries’ efforts in fostering the cooperative relationship, including the contribution of young officers of the two countries in general and young coast guard officers in particular, would help deepen the Vietnam - China relations in the “16-word motto” and “four-good” spirit, thus bolstering the bilateral ties and contributing to maintaining political security in the region and the world.
On behalf of leaders of the General Department of Political Affairs, Gen. Quyet wished the Chinese delegation to have successful trip in Vietnam.

For his part, Senior Colonel Ganyu, Deputy Political Chief of the Chinese Coast Guard and Head of the Chinese delegation, pledged to convey Gen. Quyet’s proposal on further deepening the cooperative relationship between the two militaries and coast guard forces to Chinese senior leaders. He affirmed that the Chinese Coast Guard treasures the cooperation with the Vietnam Coast Guard and is trying to maintain peace and stability in the region and the world.
He delightfully affirmed that the cooperation between the two coast guard forces has been effectively strengthened in agreed fields and contents.
