The Russian military delegation with 33 servicemen arrived in Hanoi at noon on August 20. Among them, First Lieutenant Mikhailov Anton Vladimirovich, head of the Russian contingent, was the one who had the honor of carrying the flag at the parade marking the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (May 9, 1945 - 2025) in Moscow’s Red Square, an event that the Vietnam People’s Army participated for the first time.

The Lao military delegation has been in Vietnam since August 16. Twenty out of 120 members participated in the parade marking the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification of Vietnam. Notably, 49 Lao servicemen was in the formation of the Lao People’s Army at the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War at Red Square.
The 120-member Cambodian military delegation arrived at Moc Bai International Border Gate in Vietnam’s Tay Ninh province on August 15. They were then flown to Hanoi from Ho Chi Minh City-based Tan Son Nhat International Airport.

The participation of formations from the Lao People’s Army and Royal Cambodian Armed Forces in the upcoming parade carries profound significance, demonstrating the importance that Vietnam attaches to the special combat solidarity, faithful combat alliance of the three Indochinese countries.
Since their arrival, Russian, Lao and Cambodian servicemen have actively and intensively trained despite challenges such as weather conditions, time constraints, time zone differences, and living conditions.
Their participation in the upcoming grand parade at historic Ba Dinh Square is a noble symbol of national solidarity and international unity, for the goals of peace, cooperation, friendship, and development.
