Deputy Commander of MR7 Senior Colonel Nguyen Tan Linh chaired the reception.
Speaking at the reception, Col. Linh conveyed greetings from the leadership of the MR7 Command and wished the delegation a meaningful visit. He also briefed the delegates on the history, traditions, key contribution, and notable achievements of MR7 over the past time.
He stressed that Vietnam consistently pursues an independent and self-reliant foreign policy while promoting the diversification and multilateralization of its international relations. Vietnam is a friend, a reliable partner, and a responsible member of the international community. The country attaches great importance to strengthening defense cooperation with other countries by continuously expanding dialogue, increasing high-level exchanges, promoting cooperation in education and training, participating in U.N. peacekeeping operations, providing humanitarian assistance, addressing the consequences of war, and responding to shared security challenges. Defense cooperation has become one of the key channels for enhancing strategic trust and building a solid foundation for Vietnam's relations with other countries.

He expressed his belief that this visit would provide military attachés to Vietnam with a deeper understanding of the socio-economic development as well as the defense and security situation in MR7, thereby contributing to further advancing defense cooperation between Vietnam and their respective countries.
In his turn, Commander Park Jeong Hwan thanked the host for their warm welcome. He noted that the delegation was deeply impressed by the remarkable socio-economic development achieved by the provinces and cities within MR7, while also speaking highly of the important role and contribution of the region's armed forces to Vietnam's national construction and protection.
He also expressed his hope that the friendship and defense cooperation between Vietnam and the participating countries would continue to be strengthened and expanded in the years ahead.

During the visit, the two sides exchanged views on issues of mutual interest, including military training, exercises, military control, combating cybercrime, and other areas with potential for future defense cooperation.
* On the same day in Ho Chi Minh City, the delegation visited and worked with Cat Lai Port of Corps 20 under Saigon Newport Corporation.
Senior Colonel Bui Van Quy, Deputy Commander of Corps 20 received the delegation.
During the working session. Sr. Col. Bui Van Quy gave an overview of the establishment and development of Saigon Newport Corporation, highlighting its outstanding achievements in combining production and business activities with defense missions and defense relations affairs, thereby contributing to Vietnam's socio-economic development.

He also briefed the delegation on the corporation's social welfare and gratitude programs over the past time, including providing lifelong care for more than 400 heroic Vietnamese mothers and families of martyrs, supporting the construction of gratitude houses, granting scholarships to disadvantaged students, among others.
At the event, the military attachés exchanged views on the integration of economic development with national defense and learned more about the organizational structure, business operations, port management, and logistics capabilities of Corps 20.
