Speaking at the meeting, Major General Nguyen Ngoc Dung, Commander of Corps 11, emphasized that with more than 43 years of construction and development, the unit is proud to be one of the leading enterprises in the construction sector, possessing deep-rooted traditions and extensive experience in managing, organizing, operating, and executing most of the key projects and works requiring high technical and engineering standards for the military and the State.

In Laos, Corps 11 has also established Thanh An 11 One-member Limited Liability Company, tasked with contributing to the local socio-economic development in the area where it operates and with nurturing and strengthening the brotherly Vietnam - Laos solidarity and friendship.
The Corps has implemented and completed numerous significant projects in Laos, such as the Lao National Assembly Building, the Laos - Vietnam Friendship Park, the Nam Hang Cluster of Villages in Phongsaly province, the Boarding School for Ethnic Culture of the General Department of Political Affairs of the Lao People’s Army, and the Xiangkhouang Weapons Depot.
In addition to completed projects, Corps 11 is currently undertaking various other projects in Laos, helping create jobs and stable incomes for local people; promoting trade and expanding its presence in the Lao market; and contributing to consolidating and enhancing Vietnam - Laos cooperation.
Assoc. Prof., Dr. Nguyen Duy Bac, Standing Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, stated that the working session was an opportunity to further strengthen the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, the two States, and the peoples. It was also a chance to exchange views on strategic issues related to sustainable development in each nation.
He added that this trip would provide valuable lessons for Lao officials, focusing on key thematic areas such as close coordination between national defense and security tasks with economic development and the building of an all-people’s defense posture; organizational structure and management mechanisms; experience in training, developing, and utilizing personnel, especially highly skilled technical and managerial staff, to meet the development requirements of the unit and the military in the new context; and balancing and effectively implementing the two strategic tasks of strengthening national defense and promoting socio-economic development.
On behalf of the Lao delegation, Padomphone Sonthani, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Government of Salavan, thanked Corps 11 for the valuable information shared during the meeting. He regarded it as important lessons that would be creatively applied to the practical work of building and safeguarding Laos. He affirmed that they would continue contributing to nurturing and promoting the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, the two States, and the peoples.
