The visit not only helped promote the friendship, mutual understanding and trust between the Vietnam Coast Guard and the Philippine Coast Guard, but also was a chance for the two forces’ officers and soldiers to exchange and share experience in maritime law enforcement.

After the farewell ceremony, the two forces conducted a joint exercise on search and rescue and fire prevention and fighting at sea before Ship 8002 headed home, successfully ending the Philippine visit.
