During the visit to Russia, the Vietnamese defense chief will attend an inauguration ceremony of the monument dedicated to Vietnam’s volunteer troops who joined battles to defend Moscow in the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945) and the 10th International Military-Technical Forum “ARMY-2024.”

The visit holds important meaning, contributing to promoting the traditional friendship, comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Russia in general and between the two militaries in particular.

It is also a good chance for the two sides to review the results of the defense cooperation over the past time, and share views on world and regional issues of mutual concern, thereby unifying and orienting the contents of cooperation in the coming time to develop the bilateral defense ties in an intensive, practical and effective manner, in line with the Vietnam-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership.
