Cambodian units visit and extend New Year greetings to Coast Guard Region 4
PANO - A delegation from different military units of Cambodia, led by Colonel Mean Savoeun, Second-in-Command of the Ream Naval Base, visited and extended lunar New Year greetings to the Coast Guard Region 4 Command on January 24 in Phu Quoc city, Kien Giang province.
In a warm and friendly atmosphere, Second-in-Command in charge of Legal Affairs of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Tranh expressed his delight at welcoming the delegation of naval and coast guard forces of Cambodia to the unit.

Col. Tranh conveyed his best wishes to the visiting delegation and hoped that they would have a unforgettable visit to Phu Quoc city. The Second-in-Command in charge of Legal Affairs of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command took the occasion to brief the delegation on the functions, missions, and scope of operations of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command; its results in carrying assigned tasks and international cooperation and defense diplomacy over the past time. He expressed the hope that forces of the two sides would continue to maintain their strong and traditional relationship, collaborating to ensure security and safety at sea, especially in the historic waters between Vietnam and Cambodia.

For his part, Colonel Mean Savoeun expressed his deep appreciation for the warm reception from the Coast Guard Region 4 Command. He extended his New Year greetings to the officers and soldiers of the unit and expressed a desire for continued cooperation between forces of the two countries, including in information exchange and sharing, law enforcement efforts at sea. This, he hoped, would further solidify the close friendship and solidarity between the two nations and their respective forces.

Concluding the visit, the Cambodia delegation and the Coast Guard Region 4 exchanged gifts and posed for photos.
