Cambodian naval delegation visits Naval Region 5 Command
PANO - On December 12, in Phu Quoc City, Kien Giang Province, a delegation of Ream Naval Base of the Royal Cambodian Navy led by Vice Admiral Mey Dina, Commander of Ream Naval Base, paid a courtesy visit on the Naval Region 5 Command.
Rear Admiral Nguyen Duy Ty, Commander of Naval Region 5, presided over the reception for the Cambodian naval delegation.
Also in attendance were Rear Admiral Nguyen Huu Thoan, Political Commissar of Naval Region 5, as well as leaders and representatives of affiliated units of Naval Region 5.

During the reception, Rear Admiral Nguyen Duy Ty expressed his pleasure at welcoming the Ream Naval Base delegation to work with the Naval Region 5 Command. He also extended congratulations to Vice Admiral Mey Dina on his recent appointment as Commander of Ream Naval Base.
Rear Admiral Nguyen Duy Ty expressed confidence that, based on the foundation of traditional friendly relations and comprehensive, long-lasting cooperation between the two countries, the Cambodian naval delegation’s visit would be successful. Also, he emphasized that this visit would deepen the bond of solidarity, friendship, mutual understanding, and trust between the navies of both nations.
In turn, Vice Admiral Mey Dina appreciated the warm reception extended by the Naval Region 5 Command and expressed hopes for future activities involving delegation exchanges, and experience sharing, particularly in building naval capabilities, contributing to the successful execution of assigned missions of each side.

As planned, the delegation of Ream Naval Base participated in the 32nd joint patrol activity summary conference with Naval Region 5 of the Vietnam People's Navy on December 13.
