At the transferring ceremony

Addressing the transferring ceremony, VHT General Director Nguyen Vu Ha highly valued the transfer, confirming that it will help bring into full play each side’s strength. Specifically, Viettel will focus on developing telecommunications core networks and EnodeB stations while Vingroup will further its research on 5G terminals.

Ha added that the activity aimed to realize the “Make in Vietnam” 5G strategy in which the Vietnamese people will study and manufacture core networks, radio access, and terminal equipment.

In his speech, Vingroup Vice President Le Khac Hiep stressed that bringing Vietnam into the world technology flow and owning high technology is a  common aspiration of both groups. The two sides’ cooperation and directions will certainly accelerate the process of perfecting the “Make in Vietnam” 5G ecosystem from the core to terminal equipment.

Last October, VHT and Vinsmart signed an agreement on the development of a 5G gNodeB base station system.
