Following the success of the first event in 2020, the second Viettel Fastest race will be held from 5:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on April 24 at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square near Hoan Kiem Lake. A similar event is scheduled to take place in Ho Chi Minh City in September 9 for Southern running lovers.

The 10-kilometer run includes three categories for professional athletes, semi-professional athletes and new Personal Record (PR). Professional athletes will start their run at 6:00 a.m., semi-professional athletes will begin their run at 7:05 a.m., and new PR at 8:40 a.m..
The revenue from ticket sales will be sent to “Heart for Children,” a charity heart surgery program founded by the Military Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel) and the Vietnam Television.
The race is expected to attract 2,000 participants and collect over VND 600 million from ticket sales to cure children with congenital heart diseases.
In 2020, the race drew 1,500 participants and donated nearly VND 500 million to the “Heart for Children” program.
According to Viettel Telecom’s Deputy General Director Nguyen Quang Lap, running is a good sport for physical health; therefore, the race is held to promote sport activities and physical exercise among the community. In addition, through the race, Viettel Telecom hopes to spread humanitarian activities among the whole society in general and the community of running lovers in particular.
The collection of prizes is also divided into three groups of winners, including professional athletes, semi-professional athletes and new PR. Each group will have its own individual standards of achievement, particularly 42 to 45 minutes in 10km for professionals, 60 to 65 minutes in 10km for semi-professionals, and 90 to 100 minutes in 10km for new PRs.
Apart from the cash awards, VND 138 million in total, the winner of each category will receive two Samsung Galaxy Watch 4, two Garmin vivoactive 3 Element and two Xiaomi Watch S1 Active from Viettel Store.
Each competitor will be charged from VND 300,000 to VND 350,000 depending on their registration time.
Participants to Viettel Fastest 2022 are also able to experience numerous new technologies developed by Viettel Telecom such as online management system by registration codes, facial recognition check-in, and so on.
