Senior Lieutenant General Pham Hoai Nam chairs a working session with GAET. |
Since the beginning of the year, GAET has pro-actively implemented numerous high-value economic contracts, maintained its market share in traditional industrial explosives, expanded into new markets, and actively participated in key national economic development projects. As a result, the corporation’s total revenue increased by 60.8%.
In addition to demonstrating its business efficiency, the corporation has also served as a key trading unit in fulfilling defense tasks. To date, it has established a network of more than 500 partners from 50 countries and territories. It has also undertaken numerous large-scale, high-tech projects and contracts, including technology transfer for defense industry factories, promoting exports of defense industry products, and ensuring the provision of weapons and technical equipment to units across the whole military, meeting the requirements for military modernization and strategic autonomy in the defense industry.
Notably, as a member of the organizing committee for the Viet Nam Defense Expo 2026, the corporation has actively organized trade promotion conferences, connected partners, and attracted investment, helping reduce costs for the state budget.
Commending GAET on its achievements since the beginning of the year, Senior Lieutenant General Pham Hoai Nam requested that the corporation maintain an average growth rate of at least 20%. He called on the corporation to pro-actively explore new business sectors in line with practical conditions and development trends; streamline its organizational structure and staffing toward a lean, compact, strong, efficient, effective, and capable system, while linking these efforts with the training of high-quality human resources; and accelerate digital transformation and the effective application of scientific and technological advances.

An overview of the working session |
He also emphasized the need to focus on developing the corporation’s brand at home and abroad; further intensify trade promotion activities; expand its partner network and sources of goods; facilitate technology transfers; and bring products manufactured by Viet Nam’s defense industry to broader international markets. These efforts will help establish GAET as a core defense industry unit in military trade and international defense cooperation.
